I have been playing with the text overlays and it is a great tool. I wanted to check if we can include the titles over a coloured background to make them jump out of the screen?
At the moment I can see that the titles are contained in a text box on a transparant background and I was wondering if would be possible to change the text box background to red, black etc as is becoming more common on video these days?
I wonder?
That’s definitely on my todo list for the new “text” overlay. I’m hoping to add a color selector for both the font and the background.
I’m not sure on the timetable, but it’s a priority for sure.

Well, I might have gone a bit overboard with this one.
I’ve added a bunch of options to the Text overlay. There’s full-color control over the fonts and backgrounds. And I also added borders to the mix.
Here’s some examples.
All the colors can be adjusted in RGBA space, so transparent text and backgrounds are possible as well.
